about the college
The Technical College of Engineering at Al-Kitab University, Kirkuk, was founded in 2018, evolving from two pioneering departments:
- Department of Technical Computer Engineering, established in 2012 alongside the founding of Al-Kitab University College.
- Department Of Technical Engineering of Medical Devices, established in 2017.
The college prides itself on a highly qualified teaching staff of 58 members, ranging from assistant lecturers to professors, who are dedicated to providing top-tier education. With 1,000 male and female students enrolled across all levels, the college offers a comprehensive 4-year program leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in the respective fields of study.
Graduates also gain membership in the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate, ensuring their professional recognition. Since its inception, the college has awarded Bachelor’s degrees to five cohorts from the Department of Computer Engineering Technology and two cohorts from the Department of Medical Device Engineering Technology. Many graduates have successfully entered the workforce and are contributing to the labor market in Iraq and beyond.

Dean’s Message
Welcome to the Technical College of Engineering at Al-Kitab University. Our college is home to 58 qualified educators and over 1,000 students across all levels of study. We offer a 4-year program leading to a Bachelor’s degree in various engineering specializations, with graduates gaining membership in the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate.
As we begin the 2024–2025 academic year, I extend my best wishes to all faculty, staff, and students. May your efforts continue to make this college a beacon of knowledge and a leader in technical education, serving both the labor market and society.
